As an undergraduate student at Peru State College in Nebraska, Whitni Redman had her first glimpse into research working with coyotes. Trappers brought in coyotes and the research team studied the gastrointestinal tracts of the animals.

Riccay Elizondo, a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate from San Angelo, remembers wanting to be a veterinarian at the age of three and then a physician in high school. Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) hosted the 50th Annual Texas Association of Advisors for the Health Professions (TAAHP) Conference Feb. 7-9. TAAHP is a state network of advisors and staff in health professions working to promote excellence in pre-health professions advising.
TTUHSC Hosts National Latino Medical Student Association Conference
The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Office of the President and School of Medicine will host the 14th Annual Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) National Conference and 7th Annual Southwest Regional Conference March 22-23.
Masking Up for a Great Cause
Medical students began the Lubbock City Lights tradition in 1997. Since then, more than $1 million has been raised and helped numerous local charities and organizations in the West Texas community.
Eleventh Annual Update in General Internal Medicine
The goal of the conference is to provide health care professionals involved in primary care with knowledge in current, contemporary and common issues relevant to internal medicine and general practice.
