According to the American Diabetes Association (ADA), more than 1.25 million Americans have Type 1 diabetes and approximately 40,000 more are diagnosed each year. TTUHSC Researchers Publish Preclinical Data on New Drug Combination to Treat Neuroblastoma

Though it can appear in several areas of the body, it commonly develops as a solid tumor most frequently found in or adjacent to the adrenal glands, which sit atop the kidneys.
