For those planning to celebrate the Fourth of July with family members or other groups of people, Lampe suggested observing some of the same precautions that have become so familiar over the last several months.

Reports of snake bites are on in the increase in Texas. Texas Poison Centers have seen a more than 40 percent increase in snake bite calls this year over last year. To date, there have been 372 in 2020.
