More sex ed is key, committee says - OAOnline.com
It’s been a year since the science-based sex education classes taught by doctors and nurses for fifth- and sixth-graders have ceased at Ector County Independent School District.
The response by ECISD after a school board meeting last month? Let’s bring back the classes and hire on two employees to supplement the volunteer-only duties taken on by Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, which taught the class free of charge for several years.
