The Texas Tech Health Sciences Center and the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health are hosting the Third Annual Gender-Specific Women’s Health Symposium from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday in the HSC academic classroom 100.
Tech has gained national expertise in gender-specific medicine, Dr. Steven Berk, academic dean for the Tech HSC, said. Gender-specific medicine examines the differences in the biology of men and women and how these differences can affect the treatment and overall diagnosis of diseases in both genders.
