On Friday afternoon, he and 182 other students - a record for the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Medicine - walked across the stage at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Theatre to officially don their first white coats and recite their first medical oath as a symbol of the next leg of their academic journey.
