At the December City of Lubbock Board of Health meeting I was honored to be elected by my fellow board members to the position of Chairman for 2013. My first three year term on the board has been eventful and I have witnessed the hard work and commitment of our members in providing excellence in service to our community.

The board has followed with interest the effort at the Texas Tech Health Science Center to establish a School of Public Health. Drs. Epstein and Reid have developed extensive reviews on the subject of Hydraulic Fracturing and issues surrounding designer drugs.
