Nursing Program One of the Best on the Net

U.S. News & World Report has ranked the School of Nursing among the top in the nation.
“This honor brings well-deserved attention to our School of Nursing and the institution,” said President Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D. “It is reflective of our mission to provide quality education and produce well-qualified health care professionals.”
The 2013 edition of Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs ranks the School of Nursing No. 30 of 90 U.S. nursing schools that offer online master’s programs.
“There are more than 400 nursing schools in the U.S. that offer graduate degrees, and most of those schools have online components to their programs,” said Michael L. Evans, Ph.D., R.N., School of Nursing dean. “This is a big distinction for the School of Nursing.”
The magazine’s rankings of online master’s in nursing degree programs are based on factors like graduation rates, academic and career support services offered to students and admissions selectivity.
The School of Nursing offers master’s degrees with tracks in administration, education, adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner, family nurse practitioner, nurse midwifery and pediatric nurse practitioner.
