Expert Available to Discuss Women's Heart Health
Heart disease kills more women in the U.S. than all types of cancer combined, according to the American Heart Association. However, many women still dismiss heart disease as an “older man’s disease” and do not know the symptoms of a heart attack.
Just in time for National Wear Red Day (Feb. 1), Betsy Goebel Jones, Ed.D., regional director for the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health (LWBIWH) and professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, is available to address women and heart health.
