U.S. Rep. Mac Thornberry said private health insurance companies and state governments should replace much of the federal government’s role in overhauling the nation’s health care system during an Amarillo visit Tuesday. Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center President Tedd Mitchell welcomed Thornberry, who addressed the audience of a little more than 100 faculty, staff and interested residents in the School of Pharmacy’s Harrington Auditorium.
