The new model for sex education curriculum will be presented during the Ector County Independent School District Board of Trustees regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday. ... The sex ed program that will use curriculum from both the Life Center of Midland, a faith-based agency that currently provides abstinence-based education to ECISD students, as well as curriculum from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, called the Abstinence Plus program which was taught to ECISD seventh graders as part of a pilot program during the 2010-11 school year. |
