U.S. News & World Report Ranks TTUHSC Schools Among Best for 2026 Graduate School Rankings

Several graduate programs at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) have been recognized in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate School Rankings, reaffirming the university’s continued excellence in health sciences education and training.
The TTUHSC School of Nursing ranked No. 12 nationally in the Best Midwifery Programs category. The TTUHSC School of Health Professions Nadine and Tom Craddick Physician Assistant Studies Program ranked No. 14 in the Physician Assistant program under Best Schools of Health.
TTUHSC Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost Darrin D’Agostino, D.O., said these rankings reflect TTUHSC’s dedication to preparing future health care professionals to meet the evolving needs of patients and communities across Texas and the nation.
“National recognition of our graduate programs underscores TTUHSC’s position as a leader in health sciences education,” D’Agostino said. “We are honored to be recognized for the outstanding work happening across our schools and remain focused on delivering transformative educational experiences for our students.”
Other highlights from the TTUHSC School of Medicine, School of Health Professions, the Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy, the School of Nursing and the Julia Jones Matthews School of Population and Public Health include the following rankings:

- Most Graduates Practicing in Health Professional Shortage Areas No. 55 (out of 172)
- Most Graduates Practicing in Primary Care No. 60 (out of 172)
Best Schools of Health
- No. 38 in Pharmacy (out of 140)
- No. 57 in Physical Therapy (out of 273)
- No. 59 in Occupational Therapy (out of 289)
- No. 78 in Speech-Language Pathology (out of 286)
Best Schools of Public Health
- No. 89 in Public Health (out of 224)
Best Nursing Schools: Doctor of Nursing Practice
- No. 47 in Doctor of Nursing Practice (out of 159)
Best Online Master’s in Nursing Programs
- No. 48 (out of 209)
U.S. News & World Report evaluates hundreds of graduate schools each year based on criteria such as academic reputation, faculty credentials, research activity and graduate success. The rankings are intended to help students make informed decisions when pursuing advanced degrees.
