Texas Tech leaders present plan for veterinary school in Amarillo - Lubbock AJ
Lubbock AJ - Officials from the Texas Tech University System confirmed plans to develop a school of veterinary medicine in Amarillo.
The model will join Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) and the Texas Tech University College of Agriculture Sciences as an opportunity to serve the animal health industry.
“It’s the TTUHSC presence that has moved that needle,” said TTUHSC President Tedd
L. Mitchell. “It’s the same type of innovative approach that we want to incorporate
with veterinary medical
care, to integrate that care with public health, with our schools of pharmacy and
medicine, and our graduate school of biomedical sciences."
