Thursday night was one of remembrance for the community of Odessa at Memorial Gardens Park. It was a chance to commemorate and memorialize those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks in 2001 and to honor those serving in the military and here at home as police officers, firefighters or deputies.

Hundreds filled the parking lot including the Odessa College choir, Texas Tech University Health Science Center nurses, the Permian baseball team and many others as a flag in honor of each of the 3,000 lost on that day were placed.
