School of Pharmacy Commencement Ceremony

WHAT: Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) President Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., and Quentin R. Smith, Ph.D., dean of the School of Pharmacy, will preside over the school’s commencement ceremony with 153 students receiving their degrees.

WHEN: 11:30 a.m. Friday (May 23)

WHERE: Civic Center Theatre, 1501 Mac Davis Lane

EVENT: The commencement speaker will be Texas Tech University System Chancellor Kent Hance. As chancellor, Hance is the chief executive officer of all campuses and academic sites of Texas Tech University, TTUHSC, Angelo State University and TTUHSC El Paso. His priorities include growing enrollment, increasing research and technology commercialization. Recently, Hance completed a $1 billion capital campaign at the Texas Tech University System.
