When two Permian Basin physicians collaborate with a team of artists both international and local, the result is “Healing Blade: Fantasy Art in Medicine” on display now at the Ellen Noel Art Museum of the Permian Basin.

As part of the team that created “Healing Blade,” Dr. Arun Mathews of Medical Center Hospital in Odessa and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center of the Permian Basin discussed both his approach to the exhibition as well as how it speaks to a range of people from medical professionals to comic book enthusiasts. Along with Dr. Mathews, the team included Doctors Francis Kong and Zeeba Mathews.
