The Brain Aneurysm Foundation has announced the recipients of its annual research grants. This 2013, The Foundation will award over $200,000 in grants to ten individuals conducting scientific research directed at early detection, improved treatment modalities, and technological advances that will ultimately improve outcomes for patients with brain aneurysms.

Yunxia Tao, Ph.D., Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center – Dr. Tao was awarded the Cynthia Lynn Sherwin Chair of Research, a $25,000 grant to fund her research - Pilot Study: Evaluate the Potential of using PKD1 Expression and Function Level as a Risk Marker for Intracranial Aneurysm Rupture.
