Nurse Practitioner Luncheon

WHAT: The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC), in conjunction with Nurse Practitioner Week, Nov. 10-16, will host a luncheon honoring local nurse practitioners.

WHEN: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday (Nov. 13)

WHERE: International Cultural Center, 601 Indiana Ave.

EVENT: This year’s keynote speaker will benurse practitioner and TTUHSC School of Nursing Associate Professor Wendy Thal, DNP, R.N., FNP-C, CEN. In addition, the South Plains Nurse Practitioner Association will present the award to the 2013 Outstanding Nurse Practitioner for the South Plains.

A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse who has advanced education and clinical training in a health care specialty. Currently there are more than 155,000 nurse practitioners nationwide.
