MCA to name research building for Cardwell - El Paso Inc.
Thanks to the largest-ever donation to the Medical Center of the Americas Foundation, the non-profit will name its first building the Cardwell Collaborative, in honor of El Paso businessman Jack Cardwell.

The facility, a $28-million biomedical research and technology commercialization building, will have 83,000-square-feet of space. It must comply with complex biosafety standards to meet the needs of its prospective tenants, which include the Biomedical Institute of the Americas, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, El Paso Public Health Laboratories and private biomedical companies.
