The enthusiastic reaction to Lubbock’s first Color Run 5K Saturday was great to see for many reasons. We hope it becomes an annual event in the Hub City.

Another thing we liked about the Color Run was its purpose of promoting health. Wootton said the 5K includes everyone — runners, walkers and all shapes and sizes. Part of the race proceeds were donated to Lubbock Impact and the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center.
