It is nice to see Texas in a position to become a national and world leader in cancer research through the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT.) Texas Tech is getting some of the CPRIT grants and has the potential to get more of them — ones that are currently going to other parts of the state, said Patrick Reynolds, director of the Cancer Center at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine.
