“I discovered my lump on Valentine’s Day when I was 42 years old — almost 19 years ago in Nashville, Tenn. I was not consistent in doing breast self-exams, but I knew the lump was something new and different.

“I began working within the incredible breast health community here in the Texas Panhandle, first as a coordinator for the Amarillo Area Breast Health Coalition and now as the ABC4WT (Access to Breast Care for West Texas) grant manager at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center’s Breast Center of Excellence.
