Two years ago, Dr. Andres Enriquez left the comfort of his family practice in El Paso to do medical missionary work in Choluteca, Honduras, a country still reeling from the effects of Hurricane Mitch in 1998. Enriquez, Dr. Manny De la Rosa and 14 medical students from the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center went on the eight-day trip as part of the Catholic Diocese of El Paso's outreach to aid its sister diocese in Honduras.
