Texas Tech’s Society for the Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science received the 2011-12 Role Model Chapter award for outstanding professional development during a recent National SACNAS Conference. ... The award was given for the chapter’s Science in 3-D monthly events, which take place the third week of each month.
