Sex education in the ECISD may change soon - Odessa American

Despite years of inconsistent sexual education, the Ector County Independent School District’s health advisory committee hopes to bring a more consistent curriculum to students in the future.

This year, the district is nearing the end of its pilot year of teaching what administrators call a very unique combination of an abstinence-plus curriculum. The curriculum included presentations from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and from the Life Center, a faith-oriented pregnancy resource center based in Midland.
