Six months into Dwight Deter's first year as a physician assistant at Southwest Endocrine Consultants, Dr. Wilbur Strader turned to him and asked: "Dwight, where do you think you'll be 10 years from now?" ... But only seven Texas colleges offer PA programs. The closest one to El Paso is at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Midland.
