Now Morton, 33, has been in remission for two-and-a-half years, and he’s working with a nonprofit organization called Single Jingles to make sure other young men don’t have to endure what he did. The PC support unit manager for the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center also volunteers as a mentor for cancer patients at University Medical Center and spends time with chemotherapy patients in the infusion room where they receive treatment.
