Blood shortages may soon be a thing of the past if research at Texas Tech University’s Health Sciences Center is successful in perfecting a derivative of cattle blood which can be used to replace human blood. Dr. Mario Feola, a professor of surgery at the Health Sciences Center, has been researching the project for 10 years.
