Expired medicine and those medications that you no longer need could pose a danger to you or your family members. That's why experts encourage you to get rid of them.

Texas Panhandle Poison Center, the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy and the Amarillo Independent School Districts Safe Schools/Healthy Students initiative came together Saturday to offer people in Amarillo a way to throw out old medications, safely. At the Medication Cleanout, anyone could drop off medicines to be disposed of.
