Texas Tech's Abilene campus gets big cancer research grant - Abilene Reporter-News










Abilene will be home to some cutting-edge cancer research, thanks to a $756,644 grant from the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas.

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Abilene will use the money to conduct research into a rare genetic disorder. Tuberous sclerosis complex causes the development of tumors throughout multiple organs, including the brain, skin, lung, heart and kidneys.
