A unique Texas research team delving into the causes and diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease has received renewed state funding and is about to play a prominent role at an international convention in France.

It now consists of five medical institutions: the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock; Baylor College of Medicine in Houston; the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio; the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas; and the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth.
