University Medical Center doctor says his high pay has high cost - El Paso Times

One of the highest-paid doctors at University Medical Center of El Paso -- earning more than $2 million in the last 3½ years -- is also one of the hardest working, officials said.

A handful of other doctors employed by University Medical Center and by Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, which provides most of the hospital's medical staff, also have high salaries. An interventional radiologist is now the highest-paid doctor on UMC's staff, UMC officials reported. He's earned more than $2.5 million since 2008, including $620,000 so far this year.
