State of the University Shows Promise for the Future, Commitment from Faculty
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) President Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., delivered the State of the University address on Nov. 3. TTUHSC is continuing to grow as the Lubbock campus displays plans for the new facilities and the Amarillo and
Permian Basin campuses break ground on a new clinical simulation center and Academic
Building respectively.
“TTUHSC is working to fulfill the increasing demand of health care professionals across disciplines,” Mitchell said. “The new facilities we are building are a testament to the success of our institution. As we edge closer to our 50-year mark as a university, we reflect on how we’ve grown. Now is the time to determine our legacy. We will continue to strive for greatness in research, education and patient care. We know this effort is not singular. We would like to thank our faculty for their efforts in making great strides toward turning our students into ambitious health professionals, improving community health outcomes and giving our patients hope.”
