NFP celebrates with mothers and families

Client families of Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) were treated to a fall celebration and graduation ceremony Oct. 20 at Tascosa Road Fellowship. NFP staff recognized the mothers and their families for successfully completing their two-year program.

Dirk Nelson from the West Texas A&M Nursing program was the event’s keynote speaker. He spoke about the impact family members can have on each other when it comes to caring for one another.

NFP is an evidence-based community health program that helps transform the lives of vulnerable mothers pregnant with their first child. The nurse-client relationship focuses upon improving pregnancy outcomes, child health and development and the economic self-sufficiency of first-time families. The program is free to all income-eligible participants.
