Healthy Lubbock Hosts Let's Play! LBK
WHAT: The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Garrison Institute on Aging’s Healthy Lubbock program will host Let’s Play! LBK. The community event is designed to be fun, inspire healthy living and motivate community members to use and learn about bike paths available in Lubbock parks.
WHEN: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (April 6)
WHERE: McKenzie Park, East Broadway and McKenzie Park Drive
EVENT: Activities will include open car-free streets for public bike riding and walking, bike safety instruction, dance and aerobics demonstrations, bounce houses, hula hoops, sidewalk chalk, jump ropes, yoga, group stretching and more fun activities.
Healthy Lubbock, a program of TTUHSC Garrison Institute on Aging, seeks to make Lubbock and its surrounding communities a healthier place by supporting and motivating people to become active through physical activity and improved nutrition.
