Questions continue in Midland as to if the Physician Assistant program will stay at Midland College or leave to Lubbock. CBS 7 is not the only group looking for answers, now concerned residents are asking state officials about the programs future.

Looking at the frequently asked questions on the Texas Tech University’s Health Sciences Center website the reason Texas Tech chose to put the program in Midland is stated clearly. It says West Texas is a critically undeserved health-care area, followed by political leaders favoring the establishment of a program in West Texas along with the legislature and the Midland community.
