Medical Center Hospital’s Center for Health and Wellness has taken a major step toward a two-story expansion Tuesday evening after the Ector County Health District’s Board of Directors unanimously approved a $10,035,000 guaranteed maximum price agreement for its construction with an Odessa contractor.

Approved upgrades to the 7 Central unit’s medical gas and electrical systems. Webster said the unit, on the hospital’s main campus in the seventh floor, is undergoing renovations as the hospital is preparing to turn it into a medical educational wing in conjunction with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
