House Veterans’ Affairs Committee Chairman Visits TTUHSC
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) President Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., today (Aug. 29) welcomed House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Chairman Jeff Miller to Lubbock to discuss the local VA Clinic’s desire to expand services to area veterans.
Miller toured the Lubbock TTUHSC campus and UMC Health System and met local veterans and students who are veterans. He also spoke with Texas Tech administrators and community stakeholders including Congressman Randy Neugebauer and Amarillo Veterans Affairs Health Care System Director Andrew Welch to learn of the needs and challenges South Plains veterans face in accessing quality health care.
