Kent Hance, chancellor of Texas Tech University, will be the guest speaker during the Abilene Chamber of Commerce annual membership meeting and banquet at the Abilene Civic Center on Oct. 2. As chancellor, Hance oversees 12 Texas Tech campuses, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and Angelo State University. Before becoming chancellor, Hance was a partner in Hance, Scarborough, Wright, an Austin and Dallas law firm that specializes in state and federal administrative, regulatory and legislative law.
