GET FiT, LUBBOCK is an 8-week challenge in which teams of 4 participants earn points for minutes of exercise, weight loss and attendance at community health events. The competition includes exercise and weight loss activities, encouragement and support from health and fitness professionals, and free GET FiT, LUBBOCK lectures. ... A program of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Garrison Institute on Aging, GET FiT LUBBOCK since its launch in 2007 has resulted in close to 100,000 hours of exercise along with 12,000 pounds of weight loss for participants.
