Education center gets $457K federal grant - Amarillo Globe-News

The West Texas Area Health Education Center has received a $457,135 grant from the Department of Health and Human Services to fund the education center’s jobs and education programs. The grant will help the center continue preparing rural and underserved youth to pursue careers in health care and encourage students in the health care field to work in rural areas, among other goals, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center officials said in a news release.
