According to a new study by the PLoS One Medical Journal, taking the drug Chantix to quit smoking could be dangerous to your mental health. ... "There's a market increase in the number of actual suicides, people who attempted suicide. Successfully committing suicide is a huge increase risk over what you'd expect it to be. It's higher than people taking nicotine, it's higher than people using other drugs to quit smoking," said Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, Whit Walker.
