New Student Government Association Officers Set to Begin Term

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) new Student Government Association (SGA) officers will begin their leadership duties May 1.

Calvin Bradley, a second-year medical student from Arlington, will serve as SGA president. Bradley said the TTUHSC SGA works under its own individual student government association to specifically focus on the needs of their students.

“We are excited about this upcoming year,” Bradley said. “We hope to create more service opportunities and facility improvements to promote more interaction and awareness amongst the different schools.”

Ashley Davidson, a second-year Master of Occupational Therapy student in the School of Allied Health Sciences, will serve as vice president of communications. Davidson is from Caddo Mills.

Camille Vincent will serve as vice president of operations. She is a second-year Speech-Language Pathology student in the School of Allied Health Sciences and is from Odessa.

Serving as vice president of finance isJonathon R. Ford. Ford, who is a second-year medical student, is from Athens.

The TTUHSC SGA will have 66 senators representing the schools of Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. The officers represent all campuses.

TTUHSC SGA members serve as advocates for and representatives of student needs and interests. They collaborate with students, faculty, student organizations, administration and the community to promote a campus climate that is inclusive, supportive and student centered.
