A recently formed oil and gas service business may be expanding and moving to property owned by the Development Corporation of Abilene.

The board will consider waiving lease payments at the downtown Grant Building for the Texas Tech University School of Nursing, which occupies the building's second and third floors. The DCOA received notice several months ago that Texas Tech wanted to terminate the lease at the end of August, and the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing informed the DCOA that it did not have a funding source for lease payments.
