Dr. Humberto Palladino, a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, has joined the staff of the El Paso Cosmetic Surgery Center. He is the second Mayo Clinic-trained physician to join the center in the last two years. Palladino studied general surgery at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, is a published author and has delivered presentations on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery at regional and national conferences. Palladino will also be an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at Texas Tech’s Paul L. Foster School of Medicine.

The El Paso Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure was recently invited to join the Spur Society, a society for donors who have given more than $1 million to the Texas Tech University System. Komen executive director Stephanie Flora, and board president Erich Morales accepted the award. This year, the El Paso affiliate has awarded $372,290 to local grant recipients, including the Texas Tech University Breast Care Center.
