Girls Night Out at WTAMUMore than 260 incoming West Texas A&M University (WTAMU) freshmen girls attended the 2017 Girls Night Out event Sept. 26 at Legacy Hall located on the WTAMU campus in Canyon. The annual event is hosted by The Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health.

Girls Night Out also featured Teresa Baker, M.D., from TTUHSC’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Dayna Schertler, Director of Student Counseling Services at WTAMU. They followed Jones-Fosu’s presentation with a discussion about some of the general health issues important to college freshman girls, including relationships, contraception and mental safety.
