Speech, Language and Hearing Therapy Summer Camps for Children
Parents have an opportunity to help their children learn important speech and language skills this in June and July.

Lubbock preschool and school-age school children have the opportunity to continue expanding their communication skills in a fun, interactive way this summer.
The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences will host speech and language summer camps for children June 6 through July 14 at TTUHSC, 3601 Fourth St., and at All Saints Episcopal School, 3222 103rd St.
The programs are designed for children ages 3 to 12 with various types of speech, language and learning disabilities. Children will participate in individual and group speech-language therapy activities while enjoying field trips, socialization, and hands-on crafts, projects and experiments. Camps will be coordinated and supervised by faculty speech-language pathologists in the TTUHSC Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences. Speech and language therapy will be provided by current first- and second-year graduate students in the department.
Camp schedules are as follows:
Tech Tykes
9 to 11:30 a.m., Monday-Thursday, All Saints Episcopal School
Session 1: June 6-16
Session 2: June 20- June 30
Ages 3-6
Preschool speech and language skills

1:30 to 4 p.m., Monday-Thursday, All Saints Episcopal School
Session 1: June 6-16

Pragmatic and affective language skills

Registration for all camps is $45 per day. Discounted rates of 20 percent apply for total registration fees collected in advance. Any HMO/PPO patients must pay their copay in advance. Cost for all camps must be paid in full by the initial session. Installment payments will be possible as long as the final payment is made by the initial session.
