Texas Tech takes step towards stand-alone campus – El Paso Inc.

The Texas Tech University System Board of Regents will move forward to establish a full-fledged health sciences university in El Paso. The board voted Friday to start the process of establishing a freestanding university here that would include Texas Tech’s Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing and a new graduate school of biomedical sciences in El Paso, according to an announcement.
